About Me

Zhenglin Pan is a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering(MEng. 2022 Fall) at the University of Alberta, Canada. He was supervised by Prof. Cheng Li in the Vision and Learning Lab @ UofA. His previous research includes medical imaging, super-resolution, and image enhancement. Since May. 2023, he focuses on using computer vision techniques to assist the hand-drawing process of 2D cartoon animation, involving tasks such as inbetweening, colorization, and tie-down cleaning.

He is a big fan of anime and manga. His favorite bangumi is Rainbow SeaRainbow Sea, and his waifu is Makise KurisuMakise Kurisu. He posts blogs on Bangumi and shares the testing results of promising AI+Animation pipelines on Bilibili. An Awesome-Animation-Research repository has been created by him to keep track of concurrent animation research for the community.
