About Me

Zhenglin Pan obtained his Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada in 2024. He is currently a researcher in ANIMINS research project in Japan and is also a remote applied scientist at Dondon Animation Tech. Since May. 2023, he focuses on leveraging computer vision techniques to assist the hand-drawing process of 2D cartoon animation, involving tasks such as tracing, inbetweening and colorization. He also took part in animation production as a producer at Paper Plane Animation Studio.

He is a big fan of anime and manga. His favorite bangumi is Rainbow SeaRainbow Sea, and his waifu is Makise KurisuMakise Kurisu. He posts blogs on Bangumi and shares the testing results of promising AI+Animation pipelines on Bilibili. An Awesome-Animation-Research repository has been created by him to keep track of concurrent animation research for the community.
